There are variations written on the theme that you have to give in order to receive, or that what you give and send out comes back to you. With that in mind, a role on the SMPS Virginia Board or a committee is a great way to give back to the industry, gain new professional acquaintances, and stretch and test your skills - all in less than an hour a week.
