Post-BRAC: What Now?
Since 2005, the Base Realignment and Closure Program (BRAC) has provided many companies with a steady supply of design and construction projects. Now that BRAC has ended, there are questions about the future of government contracting. For example: Will design-build contracts continue to prevail or will we see more design-bid-build? What type of projects will the government be procuring? What areas of the state/region are predicted to have the most growth and/or improvement? Are there any new regulations or trends that we should be aware of? Our panel of experienced government and private industry professionals will discuss what to look for in the coming months and years.
Panelists include:
Debbie S. Gray, Contracting Chief
US Army Corps of Engineers, Norfolk District
Captain John Adametz, Operations Officer
NAVFAC MIDLANT
Mark Lewandowski, Contracting Officer
GSA
Celeste Dow, Small Business Utilization Specialist
GSA
Our panel moderator is Larry Willis, Sr. Vice President/Director of Government Programs, H&A Architects & Engineers
