SMPS Virginia has officially launched its PROBono program by selecting the non-profit, Building Goodness Foundation, to perform marketing services free of charge!
Our president, Tracey Gould, describes the program as creating goodwill.
“By showcasing our talents in marketing communications, for a non-profit specifically focused within our industry, the SMPS Virginia PROBono team members will establish themselves as experts in marketing communications,” said Gould. “This adds to SMPS Virginia’s credibility as the ‘definitive resource for marketing and sales of professional services for the built environment.’”
Building Goodness Foundation submitted a response to SMPS’ reverse request for proposal to receive pro bono marketing, communications, and public relations services. The organization was picked out of four other viable non-profits because its mission and goals ultimately aligned with SMPS Virginia and the construction industry.
The mission of the PROBono program is to pull together resources, skills and talents to provide pro bono marketing communications services to a non-profit within the SMPS Virginia community.
Building Goodness Foundation’s purpose is to bring together volunteers from every part of the construction industry to design and build structures for communities in need.
The initiative kicks off this week, and the team will perform the contracted work over the next twelve months, displaying the results once completed! Stay tuned for updates throughout the year!
